Pop Ups

Since the beginning of my small business journey, I knew that the way to grow my business was to apply for as many pop ups as I could. I first heard about Pop Ups around 2018 and at the time, I was just a fashion junkie who loved shopping. I have come full circle, and am now a vendor at the hottest markets in the city! I am so grateful for all of the people I’ve connected with. From the customers, to the business owners, and of course the community of entrepreneurs! It’s truly an inspiration to hear people’s stories and to see us building our own empires while supporting each others’.

Some things I’ve learned from attending pop ups are:

-Some days have high traffic, some don’t. And that’s ok. The days with high traffic, you will feel a rush of emotions. The days with low traffic, you will probably make some of the deepest connections.

-There is competition, but not all competition is bad competition. Whether the competition is at the same event you’re attending, or the one a mile away-it should be your motivation to show people that you belong there.

-People that don’t know you will show you so much support. Some people want to be in your shoes and are inspired by you. Some people wouldn’t even think about doing what you’re doing, but both will show you that you made the right choice.

-The days are long, but so rewarding. You have to plan out everything from your setup, to which products you will bring, back up plans, strategies for selling products and so much more. You will be standing and talking to people from start to finish. You will be hot and tired halfway through, but you will make it and feel so accomplished.

-Most importantly, you are right where you’re meant to be.

All in all, my experience with pop ups has been amazing! While my end goal is to have my brand in a store, pop ups are the reason for the growth of Ryan Style and I am forever grateful to everyone who played a part in that.
