It’s your birthday, baby, it’s your birthday

Sooo I never have birthday parties, but for some reason something was telling me to get all of my friends together and celebrate with me this year! I decided to have a Drake themed birthday party because he’s my favorite artist! I designed an invitation after the song “If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late”, and it went from there! My party was at a rooftop bar, because as everyone knows, one of Drake’s top albums is titled ‘Views’. The puns were on overload that night and I couldn’t have been happier. My favorite was the title I gave to myself which was “champagne mami”, after Drake’s Instagram name, “champagnepapi”.

Onto the part that really matters — the outfit. I wore a champagne colored slip dress with a pair of snake skinned booties that had coordinating colors. The dress wasn’t overly flashy, but it was just enough for me to feel special. I brought a leather jacket along for when the temperatures dropped and the outfit turned out even better than I imagined. I decided that slicked back hair was best to complete my birthday look, so I secured my hair back with fashion bobby pins on either side.

Moral of the story is, have that birthday party you’ve been wanting and make your friends play along!
