The Biltmore Experience

We’ve all seen or at least heard of the show Bridgerton that gained popularity on Netflix in the last few months. Here’s a little glimpse into the Biltmore version! The Biltmore is located in Asheville, NC and it is the closest experience to an episode of Bridgerton that I can think of. When you arrive, you drive through the massive estate, and end up laying your eyes on the most magical mansion you have ever seen. The property is over 80,000 acres which includes a garden, winery, shops, a hotel, inn and cottages.

Spending the afternoon at the Biltmore was more than your average experience at a historical site. We took a self guided tour of the house and we were able to see the rooms where the family stayed in and entertained, the art, and learn all about the family legacy. They even had mannequins dressed in the outfits that were worn by the family. It was a great addition, and I was so inspired by all of the outfits from that era. I will definitely be recreating my version of them to feel like royalty!

They have kept the house and grounds in perfect condition and you can feel the spirit throughout! We also visited the winery and shops where we were able to do a wine tasting of the famous Biltmore Estate wine and purchase some goodies. I think that this experience is perfect for anyone looking to gain a little history lesson while feeling like you’re walking in the shoes of a queen for a day!

Outfit details: Spring is getting close so I wore a transitional sweater with bright trim detail on the sleeves and collar. I paired it with light wash raw hem jeans and a cute pair of booties that were comfortable to walk in. I would recommend wearing a cute dress in the warmer seasons!
